Seal Of My Dreams Anthology

March 2012

More than likely, you have heard about the Seal of My Dreams Anthology. There are several reasons this could be. First of all, hot cover. Second - there are 18 amazing authors involved in this anthology. Third, and by far the most important aspect of this anthology, per the Seal of My Dreams website, the proceeds of this anthology benefits "Veterans Research Corporation a non-profit foundation supporting veterans medical research."

One month, a romance readers group I am in chose Seal Of My Dreams to read, and I am so glad that we did. There were so many amazing stories. In particular, Dog Heart is a moving romance that will touch the heart of any animal lover. Wrapped and SEALed inspired me to learn more about an incident from WWII. Below, I have highlighted those two stories, followed by links to the full reviews of each story. At the bottom are the links to the reviews for every story.

DOG HEART

Dog Heart is one of the best short romances I've ever read. There is so much pain between each of these individuals. Jess and Marcus love one another, but Jess felt betrayed that he had become a SEAL. Marcus had needed to serve, and still ached that Jess couldn't accept him doing that. Then there was poor Thor. Luckily, he had Marcus dedicated to doing his best to heal him, emotionally and physically. And it is only together that they can all become whole.

Wrapped and SEALed

Each story in this anthology may involve SEALS, but is to support veterans, of any branch. In Wrapped and SEALed, there is a brief scene involving a veteran who had been aboard the USS Indianapolis. I would like to thank Leslie Kelly for including this in her story. I hope that other readers are as intrigued as I was and decide to delve further into the history of that ship, and the trauma of its sinking. I had heard of the incident before, but now have learned so much more. We must never forget, and always be thankful for the sacrifices that our veterans have made for us.

My Personal Disclaimer

Boy Meets Girl, They Fall in Love, and the two of them live Happily Ever After. This is the content for any book I believe is a true Romance Genre novel. The books that I recommend, or have reviews posted for will follow that format, unless I note otherwise. Granted we may know the outcome of a Romance Genre Novel, but it is the journey the characters take that is the reason we read these books. The Happily Ever After doesn't mean they're all vampires... Just means that the future is open to them, even if it is set 500 years in the past - we don't need to know their final chapter in life. At times I have have Recommend Reads by visitors to this site - I cannot guarantee that they meet my criteria for a Romance Genre Novel.
