Disenchanted
Selcouth Series - Book 3
By Lucy Jane Wood

Fantasy Romance
Sage Hemlock might grumble about her charismatic coworker, but in truth, Casimir Everald was her best friend and business partner. They ran the Port Sylvan heritage museum and investigated magical items together. She trusted him as much as her younger siblings, and kept him firmly in the friend zone.
After all, she was a witch. They all knew about her powers and disagreed with her, but she knew the truth. The magic she had only brought about bad events. She wished she could give up her magic as her heroine had. Instead, she just kept her powers hidden from the coven searching for her and hid her abilities by working where she shared the witchy history of their town.
Until a magical book appears and Sage inadvertently releases a curse that slowly turns their town into a fairy tale. Complete with a troll and pumpkin carriage. Sage's sister might enjoy becoming the princess in a tale, but Sage won’t succumb to the charm of the magic. She is certain she is right and that having magic is wrong.
As is her own happily ever after.
Disenchanted is a fun light hearted fantasy with an ever growing fairy tale. I enjoyed the daily surprises and interactions with her siblings. The romance between Sage and Cas was sweet, two people who cared so much about each other, but had simply stayed friends. I was a bit annoyed with Sage at the beginning with her attitude on the tour and Cas, but luckily that all ended quickly. I also never understood her wariness of the coven, but perhaps that was explained in the other stories. I haven't read any other Selcouth books, but I feel this book completely stands on its own.
