Paranormal Romance

Her Rogue Alpha is the fifth full length novel in Paige Tyler's X-OPS series. I would suggest reading these books in order, starting with the prequel to the series, Her Secret Agent.

Layla Halliwell knew her chosen career was dangerous, but nothing was more treacherous than trying to work on a relationship with Jayson Harmon. He had been severely injured in battle, and she had met him when he was in rehabilitation. He would never be as before, but she didn't care. She loved him, grouchy though he often was. They might argue, but she knew he would never physically hurt her. He couldn't, she was a shifter who could defend herself, but she was emotionally vulnerable to him. Although she was certain he had deeper feelings for her, she was terrified for him and what he might do after they had an argument. She was being sent on her first assignment, and she wouldn't be there to protect him from himself.

Jayson loved Layla, but he knew that wasn't enough. His attitude was a bit of a problem, but it was so much more than that. He had been Special Forces. He should be with Layla helping her. Protecting her. Instead, he had to sit back and watch her leave and risk her life. And for an organization that was willing to have her killed if necessary. He would do anything he could to get better. To be her partner. Even take a dangerous serum that could kill him.

Her Rogue Alpha was another action filled, danger on every page romance in the X-OPS series. A fun, page-turner that continues an ongoing mystery, and provides tantalizing glimpses of what is to come. I had already enjoyed Jayson and Layla as a couple, but it had been obvious that they needed to resolve issues to truly become a committed pair. In Her Rogue Alpha, they do just that in a manner certain to please readers.
