Science Fiction Romance

Matrix Roma and K-Nine, his partner, were on a mission to destroy a dangerous creature. It had escaped and landed on a backward planet, and all the inhabitants were at risk if they weren't able to kill it before it laid eggs. They had started tracking the Crawler when K-Nine went missing.

Jana Dixon hadn't thought there was anything unusual about the wolf, or dog, that had been brought into the clinic. It had been hit by a truck, and with the clinic closing for a few months, she'd had no choice but to bring him home with her and the kittens she had rescued. All should have been normal and straightforward, until K-Nine's partner showed up and she learned that they were from outer space.

Oh, and K-Nine could talk, and had decided the she and the kittens were now his pack. He'd also selected Jana to be Matrix's mate.

A Mate for Matrix was a fascinating adventure. I enjoyed learning about K-Nine and the Cyborg Protection Unit. K-Nine provided an entertaining POV, and Matrix and Jana were a sweet romance. There were a couple of style issues that pulled me from the story, but overall, I enjoyed this adventure.
