Motor City Mage

Urban Arcana Series - Book 4

By Cindy Spencer Pape

Carina Press - March 2012

Paranormal Romance

As a member of the Wyndewin League, Desmond Sutton was a wizard who was expected to socialize only with those of his kind. He'd basically been ordered to. Difficult, considering his sister was married to an elf. But it was more than that. He was interacting more and more with the werewolves and elves. They had worked together, fought together, and he was starting to implicitly trust them. Although there was one who made his hackles rise.

Lana Novak. Werewolf. Cousin to the alpha, and a temptation he could barely resist. But he had to. While he might be able to convince his superiors that working with the other species was necessary for certain cases, the type of interaction he wished to pursue with Lana would definitely be a career killer.

When given his new assignment, he decided not to involve the others. A new drug was hitting the Detroit streets, and he would investigate on his own. Lana, of course, had other ideas. Ideas, Des had to admit, that made sense. Unfortunately, their plan gets derailed, and they find themselves on a journey that might just end in love.

The eagerly anticipated Motor City Mage met all my expectations. Des was a reserved mage who needed the outgoing wolf to pull him out of his shell, and embrace the friendships he had made. I loved their journey together. Both their journey to different worlds, and their emotional journey. As expected with each story in the Urban Arcana series, all the friends we have come to adore are there willing to fight for the extended family they have created from the tight bonds of friendship. There is the possibility that this may be the last story in this series, but I sincerely hope that I am wrong. This is a world that I wish to revisit again, and again.
