She would go back in time to her ten year old self and if she was able to save Han Cho-jun, CJ, then she would save two lives.
As a gamer, she strategized, and this was the most important game. Her life. So she found and befriended CJ, but then he moved away. But Rei had the advantage. She knew what CJ would be doing, she just needed to train to be the exact person who would be needed to be where she could be to protect CJ. And herself.
How to Save A Pop Star Without Falling For Him was an interesting deep dive in the K-pop industry. I don't know if what is presented is accurate, like the singers are not allowed to have friends and strict diets, but it sounds tough. The majority of the story is the fifteen years Rei keeps reinventing herself over and over again to gain the knowledge she needs to make the right moves to prevent CJ's death. The little we see of CJ is poignant and endearing and I was eager to see how Rei solved the mystery and how and if their relationship would survive.
