Rigel Blackline and Maura, his SpyDog, would soon be enjoying a well-earned break. All they had to do was get to a ship and they would be able to turn over valuable information. All would have gone well if the ship hadn't blown up in front of him. Needing to avoid the authorities, Rigel tried to find a safe hiding place. Unfortunately, an enemy Rathskian was also there.
Claiming to be a fellow Network agent, Sona gave the right answers, but Rigel didn't trust her. He would keep an eye on her as they traversed the city for another way out.
Sona might be used to not being trusted, but that didn't mean she had to like it. At least Maura seemed to like her, and Maura was proving to be a fascinating entertaining creature. Sona might find herself equally fascinated with Rigel, but she told herself she only kept an eye on him for security reasons.
SpyDog is another fascinating entry in the world with StarDogs. Rigel and Sona's experiences cause them both to be cautious and distrustful. It is not only their lives that are at stake if they make mistakes. It was touching to see them break down their barriers to find one another. I also enjoyed meeting Maura, and learning of her unique abilities as a SpyDog.
