No Limits

Ultimate Series - Book 1

By Lori Foster

HQN - August 2014

Contemporary Romance

No Limits is the first story in Lori Foster's new Ultimate series. This new series is tied to multiple series. Primarily, it is closely tied to her most recent series, Love Undercover, and that is where readers met the main characters of No Limits, Cannon and Yvette. However, the fighters in this new series are part of the SBC, and so the stories are also tied to her SBC Fighter series. If you want to read everything in order, start with SBC, then read Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series, which ties into Love Undercover. Then there is Hard Knocks, the prequel to this new series. Although No Limits can be read on its own, Cannon and Yvette's relationship is tied significantly to the events in Love Undercover.

Cannon had planned to simply recover from the fight he'd just won in Japan. Instead, he learned that Tipton Sweeny had died, and named Cannon to co-inherit. He had known Tipton, and had helped when Tipton and his granddaughter Yvette had been attacked and held hostage. Back then, Yvette had had an obvious attraction to Cannon, but she had been too young. Then she had moved out west. Cannon had no intention of taking Yvette's inheritance. Neither did he want her to sell everything and leave him again.

Yvette needed to prove she wasn't the scared little girl she once was. She was independent and could handle things on her own, thank you very much. She didn't need Cannon to think she needed him to rescue her again, but Cannon seemed to have his own intentions. Before she knows what's going on, Cannon has moved into the house with her, and proves to her he no longer sees her as a little girl.

He intends for her to see she can be his woman.

Lori Foster fans who have been eagerly awaiting Cannon and Yvette's story will not be disappointed. No Limits mixes entertaining new characters, engaging familiar ones, SBC attitude, a hint of mystery, passion and romance. I am eager to see what happens next in the Ultimate series.
