Savor the Danger

Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor Series - Book 3

By Lori Foster

HQN - June 2011

Contemporary Romance

Savor the Danger is part of the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series involving human trafficking and the mercenaries dedicated to stopping it. Due to character relationships and events that happened prior in the series, I recommend starting at the beginning - with the prequel. First read Ready, Set, Jett, which involves the sister of the heroine of, what is technically Book 1 in the series, When You Dare. Then continue to Trace of Fever . Finally, once you have read Savor the Danger, you will be begging for more.

After her rescue from human traffickers, Alani Rivers could have hidden away behind the protection of her brother Trace and pseudo-brother Dare. Instead, she forged ahead with her independence. She was a survivor. When Jackson Savor, someone who worked for Trace and Dare, had turned his attentions on her, Alani was hesitant. Everything should have been perfect when they finally came together. Instead, there was the dreaded morning after.

Jackson had no idea how he came to be lying in bed with Alani, but he knew that there were some things missing - more than just their clothes. Most important was his memory. Why didn't he have any memory from the previous evening? Who had drugged him...and how had he finally gotten Alani in his bed?

Jackson needed answers - and he wasn't allowing Alani to start shying away from him. She would simply have to accept she was staying with him while he got the answers as to who had drugged him, and determine just how much danger they were both in. And for that matter - so would Trace.

Savor the Danger was a fun finale to Lori Foster's Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series. We had glimpsed Jackson's fascination with Alani in Trace of Fever, as well as Trace's immediate rejection of such an idea. Having Alani and Jackson's new relationship develop in such an open manner in front of Trace was one of the most entertaining sequences I have ever read - after all, Alani was with Jackson the night he was drugged by an unknown threat. With danger, humor, and passion sizzling the pages, readers will fly through this thoroughly entertaining read and once they come to the end - will demand more.
