Erica Castillo loved animals. She had a house full of them, and was always willing to help animals in need. When her neighbor Dean Maxwell knocks on her door one rainy night, she is a little hesitant, until she sees the three tiny fluffs of fur carefully cradled in his arms. At once, her natural instincts kick in to not only help the kittens, but to also teach Dean how to care for them. Erica had previously noticed how attractive Dean was, but as she watches how carefully he tends for his three tiny wards, she sees him not only as their rescuer, but that he has taken them in. Just as she would. He's perfect.
Dean needed help. He didn't know how to take care of a cat, let alone 3 tiny kittens, but he definitely wanted to help them, then find them good homes. He hadn't had much prior interaction with Erica, but after spending some time with her, he feels a connection, and isn't above using the three kittens to encourage Erica to spend more time with him. She's smart, caring, sexy, and he definitely feels more for her than any other woman.
Everything seems to be going perfectly for them, until Erica learns the truth.
Gimme Shelter is a sexy romance certain to please animal lovers. Erica is a devoted animal lover, and Dean, although not currently owned by any pets, is more than willing to step in and help an animal, or three, in need. It was a delight to watch them come together, while always mindful of their furry responsibilities.
