Sweet Fantasy Romance

Lady Ysabelle Benzel had not wanted to return to her loathsome stepfather. She would have happily remained with her friends in the wildwood. Instead, she had listened to the seer who said only if she obeyed her stepfather's summons would she find her true love. Only as they travelled did she learn she was to marry one of their enemies, a member of the Vanguard. So it was quite the happy surprise for their caravan to be stopped and to be kidnapped.

Kullan Asanji didn't quite know what to make of his captive. He had vowed revenge on Lord Jarrus, but he did not intend to harm the man's stepdaughter. This was simply a way to get Lord Jarrus to face him. A simple capture and return. Except Ysabelle claimed to not want to be returned. She even stated Lord Jarrus would not come for her. Kullan had waited years to face Lord Jarrus. Ysabelle would be returned to the man, regardless of her feelings.

Or his own.

Singer of the Dawn was a sweet story of healing and romance. Kullan was a reluctant leader who used his abilities to help heal those who survived the attack by the Vanguard. I'm not fond of a romance between a kidnapper and hostage, but Ysabelle is no unwilling victim. She considered this a rescue, until she found out she would be returned. I enjoyed learning about this group of survivors and was eager to see how what they discovered might help in what was certain to be an upcoming battle with the Vanguard. I look forward to the next story.
