KRC 10 Year Gem Winner

Admiral Branden Kel-Paten (from Linnea Sinclair's Games of Command

April 2017

Happy Birthday Kel-Paten - He's an Aries

I pretty much only read romances, and although there have been several stand out heroes in these books, one stands above all the others. Admiral Branden Kel-Paten. He is the hero from Linnea Sinclair's Science Fiction Romance Games of Command, as well as two follow-up short stories. When I started thinking about having these 10 Year Gems, I knew immediately that Kel-Paten would be one of the winners.

A man who had been born to become a machine. A man who had been ripped apart and changed in every fundamental way possible. A man who no longer considered himself a man. A man who should not have emotions, but was completely, and whole heartedly, in love with Captain Tasha Sebastian.

Luckily, I am not the only reader who has clammored for more Kel-Paten (and his Lady Sass). Not only has Ms Sinclair had the two follow-up short stories, but she has included deleted scenes on her website. Plus, I have had the privilege of having an interview with him. Below are the links for everything. If you are already a fan, I hope that there is something new for you. If you aren't already a fan, I hope this will inspire you to read Games of Command.

Games of Command, a 2007 KRC Gem winner, and an absolute delight for both romance readers, and science fiction readers. We meet Admiral Braden Kel-Paten and his emotions and conflict are immediately evident and intense. You can read my review here Games of Command

Seven Months of Forever, a 2012 KRC Gem winner where readers get to see Kel-Paten trying to settle into his new life. And his enemies have him in their sights. You can read my review here Seven Months of Forever

MISSION: Nam Selan, a 2013 KRC Gem winner, and Kel-Paten is quite entertaining when Lady Sass's former romantic interest arrives. He has to not only trust Sass's commitment to him, but also his gut instincts. You can read my review here MISSION: Nam Selan

I truly enjoy sharing my love of reading. This site was started to allow me to share some of my favorite books. I plan on having periodic "Recommended Reads" lists that will include books I recommend, as well as suggestions by visitors to this site. I will also keep you up-to-date on different upcoming events, special offers, etc.

As you look around, I'm still learning my way around HTML, etc. If you see any errors, typos, please e-mail me.

My Personal Disclaimer

Boy Meets Girl, They Fall in Love, and the two of them live Happily Ever After. This is the content for any book I believe is a true Romance Genre novel. The books that I recommend, or have reviews posted for will follow that format, unless I note otherwise. Granted we may know the outcome of a Romance Genre Novel, but it is the journey the characters take that is the reason we read these books. The Happily Ever After doesn't mean they're all vampires... Just means that the future is open to them, even if it is set 500 years in the past - we don't need to know their final chapter in life. At times I have have Recommend Reads by visitors to this site - I cannot guarantee that they meet my criteria for a Romance Genre Novel.
