Wolf Hunger

SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team Series - Book 7

By Paige Tyler

Sourcebooks Casablanca - December 2017

Paranormal Romance

Max Lowry was well aware of the legend of The One, especially since so many of his fellow packmates had been finding their own. When he met Lana Mason, it was an instant attraction, and so much more. He was fascinated with her, he liked her, and his interest appeared reciprocated. And even better, she was also a werewolf. At first, Max didn't think it could be any better, until he noticed little things, including the fact that she appeared not to realize she was a werewolf.

Lana couldn't believe how quickly she and Max hit it off. He seemed perfect, even was a SWAT officer, but her father's reaction was over the top. She couldn't understand his behavior, but could handle him. There were other, more important issues. First, her roommate was murdered. Then, it appeared someone might have followed her. Though they might have just met, it seemed only natural that it was Max that she turned to.

Wolf Hunger is the seventh story in Paige Tyler's SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series, and I found it to have the most ironic concept. Max is so happy to have found his One, and thinks he'll have it so much easier than his friends. Not so. First, there is the annoying problem of her father, who seems to have always had a grudge against the SWAT team. Now, that man's daughter is Max's One, which wouldn't be so bad, especially considering she is a werewolf. If only she were aware of that fact. It was interesting to see Lana's slow adjustment and realization of what she is. Plus, there is the continued threat of the hunters whose intent is to kill werewolves. Just another day for a werewolf SWAT officer. I look forward to the next SWAT story.
