In The Company of Wolves

SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team Series - Book 3

By Paige Tyler

Sourcebooks Casablanca - December 2015

Paranormal Romance

Like the other members of the werewolf SWAT team, Eric Becker hoped to find The One for him. Finding her during a raid as they held guns on each other hadn't been planned. But when a werewolf finds The One, he'll do anything for her. Including hiding her from his fellow SWAT team members and allowing her to escape. He'd be able to find her though, he was an alpha werewolf on a mission.

Jayna Winston couldn't believe how she'd frozen at the sight of the hunky SWAT officer, but she hadn't wanted to be part of the crime. The alpha of the pack they were part of was in debt to a mobster, and they were being forced to work for him to pay off the debt. Jayna, and the others, didn't want to take part in the crimes, or be a part of any activity that they, or anyone else, could get hurt. But as a beta, she felt the pull of loyalty to her pack.

But she also felt an inexplicable pull to Eric. He had tracked her down, and with her help, had gone undercover into the gang. He promised to help her, and her pack, escape. She couldn't explain why she trusted him, but she did. Not only for herself, but for her packmates.

What she didn't trust was the threat around them. Eric might be willing to put everything on the line for them, his life, his reputation, his career, but that didn't mean that they would all be able to escape unscathed.

In the Company of Wolves was a fascinating, action packed addition to Paige Tyler's SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series. We learned that there were more than just alpha werewolves, and it was entertaining to see an alpha realize just how uninformed he really was about his fellow werewolves. I had been looking forward to seeing Becker meet his mate, and Jayna was the perfect werewolf to keep him on his toes. I appreciated how hard Jayna worked to protect her packmates, but no matter how desperate they were, it was difficult to accept that they would pick up guns and participate in these illegal activities. I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if it had been any other SWAT member who had passed in her line of sight. Overall, it was another fun and sexy SWAT addition, and I hope that there will be more. So many SWAT single, eligible werewolves remain...
