Mine To Possess
Psy-Changeling Series - Book 5

Berkley Sensation - February 2008
Paranormal Romance
Talin McKade needed help. She fought hard to protect the children who were her responsibility, and now one of them is the most recent to go missing. Hoping to find him before he ends up a casualty like the others, Talin goes to the one man she believes will help her before it is too late. He is the same man she had been hiding from for two decades.
Clay Bennett had never gotten over the loss of Talin. They had been children when he had last seen her. She had been the main source of goodness in his life. What he hadn't known at the time was the horror that she was living, and when he finally released her from that terror, it had been the last time he had ever seen her.
To say that Clay was exasperated over Talin, and her sudden reappearance in his life is an understatement. He is cut by the truth behind her absence and annoyed by her obvious fear of him. Yet regardless of the time and hurt between them, there isn't anything Clay won't do for Talin.
Mine to Possess is a heart-tugger from the very beginning. Clay had been haunted by the loss of Talin for years, and now she is back with him, yet the chasm between them still appears insurmountable. I absolutely fell for Clay from the moment I read the excerpt for this story, and I was not disappointed in his story in the least. Talin is a sympathetic heroine who had overcome an unimaginable history. However, I still am a little annoyed with her for her deception with Clay, and I don't necessarily agree with her reasoning, especially once she became an adult. The passion between the two is tangible, as is their love for one another. I adored watching them overcoming their obstacles, and finally coming together. I eagerly await the next story of this series.
