Archangel's Prophecy

Guild Hunter - Book 15

By Nalini Singh

Berkley Sensation - October 2018

Urban Fantasy

This review assumes that the reader has read the previous books in Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series, and does contain spoilers to those books. Due to the complex world building and continuing storylines, it is recommended to read this series in order.

Nothing that mortal-born turned angel Elena and her Archangel Raphael have faced can prepare them for their newest threat. Elena may now have wings, but they are failing. Instead of growing stronger into her new immortality, she appears to be regressing. But this isn't the only crisis she is facing. Her beloved sister and niece are at risk after her brother-in-law is brutally attacked. She may not care for the vampire, but her sister loves him dearly, and he seems to reciprocate the feeling and adores his daughter.

Then there is the voice Elena hears in her head. And of course not one that tells of joyful tidings, but of her own demise. Could there be another ancient awakening? One who might be causing a possible volcanic activity near New York City?

Elena might not have all the answers to the challenges she faces, but she does know one thing. She and Raphael would face them together.

Archangel's Prophecy is a bridge to the next book in the Guild Hunter series and will leave readers yearning to learn the answers left without resolution. We have seen Elena fight so many battles both physical and psychological, and she faces her possible mortality with equal bravery. As always, I enjoyed the interactions with all the other characters in the series, some of whom have already had their own romances. One of whom still needs to find his own heroine. Hopefully, there won't be as long a wait to find out what happens after The End of Archangel's Prophecy.
