Fantasy

Fuuta was a cat who had lived a good long life. He didn't remember his cat parents, but he'd had a loving human family and he wanted to go back to see them. But there were rules in his new home that he needed to learn and abide by. Most important was that he couldn't see his old human family for seven months. In the meantime, Fuuta needed a job, so he decided to apply at Cafe Pont to be a messenger cat.

Cafe Pont existed between both worlds. People would come to the cafe and leave a note of someone they wished to see. Fuuta would need to find a way to get a message from that person to the customer. As a special reward, if Fuuta was able to finish five tasks before the seven months, he would be able to visit Michiru earlier.

Messenger Cat Cafe was an entertaining read from a cat's point of view. I was fascinated by this concept of the afterlife and how people would be able to send a message by cat to the living. It was even more interesting to see how Fuuta would determine how to get the message to the client. I liked the interactions with other cats and the cafe owner. I'm not sure if this is a series, but would love to learn about more jobs cats could have in their afterlife, and more adventures of Fuuta.
