She couldn’t just leave a sick cat at home, so off to work he went with her. He was a star everywhere he went, but not just for his feline good looks. He had cat-itude with a capital C. He even seemed to be able to answer questions. Yuna began to wonder if there was more to this cat, and then she kissed him.
To say she was surprised when her cat disappeared and missing K-pop superstar Min-ho appeared is an understatement. Even more surprising was that without a scheduled kiss, Min-ho turned back into a cat. Soon, she’s clandestinely meeting up with Min-ho for a timely cure.
But the big question is who had cast this curse and how could it be broken. And just exactly how altruistic were these kisses? Just to stop the curse, or could there be something more.
The Purrfect Pop Star is a cute paranormal romance, my first to read set in Korea. I enjoyed the concept and all the news reports wondering where the missing K-pop star Min-ho was, while he was actually settling in with Yuna as a cat. It was fascinating to see some of the Korean culture, although I suspect the average resident wouldn’t have accepted the concept of someone being cursed into turning into a cat so easily. I found all the characters interesting and would like to continue the series.
