Pregnant by the Cowboy CEO is the third and final book in Catherine Mann's Diamonds in the Rough series. Although closely tied to the first two stories, One Good Cowboy and Pursued by the Rich Rancher, this one can be read on its own, or out of order.
Amie McNair never did anything like that. She didn't have sex with strangers, and never at a party. But from the moment she'd seen him across the room, she'd been drawn to him. Preston Armstrong didn't like weddings and the only thing that had made the last one he'd attended bearable had been meeting Amie. That was until she learned who he was and had given him the cold shoulder ever since. He'd been married before, he'd had and lost a family. Now he had no intention of ever attempting one again. He wasn't built to support a family. But he did want to pursue Amie. After a conversation with her grandmother, she announced she would join him for a week together, flying from city to city promoting their company. The fire between them hadn't diminished, and Preston was more than willing to pursue that.
The question was how difficult it would be for him to face and overcome the ghosts of his past in order to have a future.
Pregnant by the Cowboy CEO was a poignant story. From the failing health of the McNair matriarch, to learning the truth of Preston's past, to the joy of an upcoming baby, it was an emotional rollercoaster. I loved watching Preston accept his past, and seeing Amie fight for their future.
