Contemporary Romance

Six authors coming together and providing short stories for an anthology. Six short stories filled with passion and healing. The Promise of Love is an anthology of six romances written to support a charity.

In Life in the Fast Lane, Rocco Vincente chronicled his experiences in the New York dating scene. Life now was quite different than the childhood he wanted to forget. So when his boss tells him his next column is to include his high school reunion, Rocco is less than pleased.

Rocco wanted nothing more than to get checked into the bed and breakfast, get the reunion over, and return to his life. He didn't count on the proprietor Franny Arsenault, a classmate. Neither did he anticipate returning to the place he had lived those few years. A walk down memory lane, and Rocco was soon learning that his perception of the past was that of a hurting teenager. Maybe he hadn't been alone. And perhaps this town wasn't only a part of his past... it could be his future as well.

Life in the Past Lane was a touching romance of returning home. Rocco's past was something he wanted to forget, but the more he faced the memories, the more he realized that maybe, there had been opportunities that he had been too bitter to accept before. It was touching to watch him find peace with his past, and find that love might be waiting for him.

Included in The Promise of Love are: Shelter From the Storm by Lori Foster, Take Me Home by Erin McCarthy, Razor's Edge by Sylvia Day, Midnight Rendezvous by Jamie Denton, Dime Store Cowboy by Kate Douglas, and Life in the Past Lane by Kathy Love.
