Romantic Suspense

Twisted Mercy is the fourth book in Elaine Levine's Red Team series. It is highly recommended to read this series in order, starting with Book 1, Edge of Courage. This review does contain spoilers to the previous books.

Deep undercover in the White Kingdom Brotherhood motorcycle club, Max, Mad Dog, Cameron was living a lie. And he was beginning to learn that his entire life might just be a long trail of deceit and betrayal. As a teen, he had been convicted of a wall street hack that had put him in prison with other members of the WKB. He had made a name for himself in, and out, of prison. On one side, he was Mad Dog, dangerous, loner, and member of the WKB. On the other side, he was Max, still dangerous, still somewhat alone, but a member of the Red Team. He was dedicated to his teammates, and finally putting an end to this dangerous terrorist cell that was a threat to all.

He didn't have time for a pretty young mechanic who came to work for the club, he needed to find out what has happening on the WKB land. But everywhere he turned, Hope Townsend turned up.

Hope had put herself in danger by going to work at the WKB in order to find her brother. She didn't know who he was, but someone had told her he was there. She was hiding from her past, and wanted only to save her brother and go on the run. She never expected to find Max, a man who she would be willing to stop running for.

Max, Max, Max. There had been times when even his teammates might have wondered just what side he was on. But Max is a good man, would have probably been gentle and sweet if he hadn't been put through the horrors he had experienced while in prison. Instead, he was hardened, but only on the outside. He was so endearing when sharing his emotions with Hope. Elaine Levine's Red Team series, is intense and the suspense of how the team will finally overcome their enemies keeps building. With Twisted Mercy I got exactly what I expected, which was a thrilling read.
