Not Waving But Drowning
Short Story in SEAL of My Dreams Anthology
By Jo Leigh
Bell Bridge Books - 2011
Dan Hogan had come to help Renee Crocker fix up the cabin she was staying in. Even though Renee had assignments listed for each day Dan would be there, it still should have been a stress free time. Instead, she could tell from the moment he arrived that something was bothering him. She knew he couldn't share the details of his missions, but they had been too close for too long for her to allow him to hurt. If there was any way she could help him, she would.
Not Waving But Drowning is a story of healing and two friends finally acknowledging just how much they mean to one another. I truly enjoy romances between friends, and this was another touching one. They had been through so much together, both in civilian life, and his military one, that it just takes a moment for one of them to open the door and take that leap to happiness with each other.
