Had a bad day? Simone Dubois didn't think anything could compare to what she was experiencing. Her friend Tate, a local coroner and Squire, had an interesting case for her. One that leads to a corpse that had walked away from an autopsy, the corpse's ghost needing help trying to figure out what had happened, the mystery of that murder, and finding herself arm shackled to one of the most acerbic tongued, bitter, gorgeous men she had ever met.

Xypher had never known kindness, friendship, or love. He had been betrayed and spent the past several centuries being dead and tortured. Yet here he was, back on Planet Earth, with one goal in mind. He wanted vengeance. What he didn't need was to be tied to a woman who seemed to be a beacon to the paranormal.

Dream Chaser was yet another exciting story in the Dark Hunter world that Sherrilyn Kenyon has created. Although a Dream-Hunter story, we learn more about the different demons and their place in this "world". I adored the characters, both Xypher and Simone, but also her best friend - who I will leave as a surprise. I enjoyed the snippets of various people and places that have been in previous books, and it makes me all the more anxious for Acheron's story which is finally due this year.
