Contemporary Romance

Four authors coming together and providing short stories for an anthology. Animal Attraction is an anthology of four romances written to support a charity.

They had known each other since they were kids, but Nadine Moest hadn't been on Shohn Hudson's radar of women to pursue. Granted she had a great body, he admired her work with animals, and he liked to count her as a friend, but she was, well, Nadine. He had no intention of changing things, but why did she have such a low opinion of him? First, she wouldn't allow him to pick up his cousin's dog, since she hadn't received prior approval. Then she made little comments about him. Changing her opinion of him was quickly moving from being a challenge to an obsession.

Nadine knew better than to show any interest in Shohn. She respected his work, liked him and his family, and there was no denying the attraction, but she didn't want... No, she did want. And that was the problem. She knew him well enough that even if they acted on the attraction, she didn't want anyone to know. She could never keep him for the long term.

What she doesn't realize is that Shohn soon realizes what he wants is forever.

Buckhorn Ever After is an enjoyable romance with a huge cast of familiar characters that make this short story even more pleasurable to read. The interaction between Shohn and his family is entertaining, and I absolutely loved when he went to the shelter to get a dog and comes back with Louie. The scenes showing how attached, literally, Louie could be with Shohn are a highlight. Buckhorn Ever After is certain to please fans of the Buckhorn Brothers series.

Included in Animal Attraction are: Buckhorn Ever After by Lori Foster, Imagine Me and You by Maisey Yates, Gimme Shelter by Heidi Betts and Partner in Crime by Jules Bennett
