Obey Me

Urban Fantasy

Sophie Merlo had an ability of suggestion, which really helped in her career as a reporter. Her investigation of a possible serial killer led her to a club. Her ability gained her entrance. What she saw as she was "escorted" out made her eager to comply.

She wasn't able to escape far. She had searched for Alex Edmunston, at the club, but he sought her out. He was a vampire, and was willing to share a bit of information with her, for her help. He was being framed for murder, and could use her skills of suggestion to discover the killer. But he wasn't the only person after Sophie. Octavius Perrotte issued an invitation she could only accept.

Sophie didn't know who she could trust, who was telling the truth. She would have to trust her instincts, and her abilities, and perhaps a man who wasn't a mere mortal to survive.

Obey Me was a fascinating glimpse into a world I would love to revisit. Although primarily an urban fantasy, this story does include a romance. I enjoyed the characters, but felt that there should be more stories - theirs was not complete. The concept of how these vampires are created was fascinating, and I would love to learn more. I hope to return there again...soon.
