Lora Jansen remembered Barry, but she wasn't surprised he didn't remember her. He and his friends had not been kind to her when they were in school. She might want to keep him at arm's length, but Lora can't help forgiving him for past mistakes. Neither can she turn him away when it is obvious he needs additional physical training.
Baby I'm Back is a short story with a poignant touch that will leave readers misty eyed. Barry is sending mixed messages to Lora, but luckily for him, she sees through his sometimes gruff exterior to the man below who is wounded both emotionally and physically. Helping his physical pain is her specialty, but it is Lora breaking down his emotional defenses that will make readers cheer even louder.
