They had hidden among the enemy and learned as much as they could, but now wished to beat the Vanguard here on this foreign land, then have them help rescue her people, and her parents.

It has all been leading to this moment. The Vanguard has been infiltrating the Wildwood and attacking its inhabitants. Outlaw of the Wildwood brings everyone together for the final confrontation. It was fascinating to see an outsider's experience of learning about the people and creatures. It was also interesting to learn of other lands. I would definitely like to see a return to learn more. The romance between Xan and Genny was sweet and fun to watch develop. Xan has been a favorite for a long time, so it was a pleasure to finally have his story. I do hope to return to the Bonded Realms to see what the future holds.
