I pretty much only read romances, and although there have been several stand out heroes in these books, one stands above all the others. Admiral Branden Kel-Paten. He is the hero from Linnea Sinclair's Science Fiction Romance Games of Command, as well as two follow-up short stories. When I started thinking about having these 10 Year Gems, I knew immediately that Kel-Paten would be one of the winners.
A man who had been born to become a machine. A man who had been ripped apart and changed in every fundamental way possible. A man who no longer considered himself a man. A man who should not have emotions, but was completely, and whole heartedly, in love with Captain Tasha Sebastian.
Luckily, I am not the only reader who has clammored for more Kel-Paten (and his Lady Sass). Not only has Ms Sinclair had the two follow-up short stories, but she has included deleted scenes on her website. Plus, I have had the privilege of having an interview with him.
